Welcome to Stirling Aid
Stirling Aid is primarily in place to bring aid for those in hurt or crisis and brings aid directly to those who need it. It is the efforts of local people organising bringing together different communities for the betterment of relationships of for all. The difference is the local community groups taking aid directly to those who are in need of it.
Stirling Aid - Expresses is condolences to the lost lives of the International Flotilla and welcomes home the Heroes of the IHH Convoy!Welcome Home Kevin, Laura, Hassan and the Entire team of Viva Palestina
Kevin Ovenden, a representative of Viva Palestina , was on the main ship of the Freedom Flotilla when Israeli soldiers descended onto the deck – he spoke from Turkey to Siân Ruddick. Read his account here. A real Account of the flotilla Attack
Congratulations to the Shufat Initiative for Stirling . Lets support this little known camp in the west bank.
Overflowing rubbish. Horrendous Checkpoints. The Shu’fat Refugee Camp was established in 1965-1966, the last of all the large Palestinian refugee camps established in the West Bank it was created to give shelter to Palestinian refugees who were living in overcrowded and unsanitary conditions in the Old City, near the Western Wall. It originally housed around 1500 refugees, today it is home to more than 23,000 people.

International Flotilla to Bring aid to Gaza
http://joti2gaza.org/2010/04/30/flotilla-to-break-the-gaza-siege-donate-now/
On 23 May, an international flotilla of cargo and passenger ships will depart from various European ports and set sail for Gaza. Three cargo ships will carry over 5,000 tonnes of medical and building supplies, and five passenger boats will carry over 600 people.
-
This flotilla is being led by the IHH charity from Turkey, and is supported by many groups worldwide, including the Free Gaza Movement, Free Palestine Movement, European Campaign to End the Siege of Gaza and the Greek and Swedish Boat to Gaza groups, amongst others.
In January of this year, IHH was an integral partner with Viva Palestina on the convoy to Gaza, where 500 people in over 200 vehicles successfully broke the siege on Gaza and delivered essential humanitarian aid. Viva Palestina are therefore very proud to announce their involvement with IHH again on this flotilla, and in addition to sending medical and building supplies, a Viva Palestina Coalition team will be on board this historic journey. http://www.gazaboatconvoy.co.uk

Thanks to everyone who took part, donated and participated.
More than 1,300 dead – more than 400 of them children – and still they are dragging bodies from the ruins.
The death toll in Gaza is rising, while the world’s leaders and media look away in search of a new story.
We will not look away. The Palestinians in Gaza need our help now, just as they did when Israel’s bombs and illegal weapons were dropping.
Thousands of people have contacted me to say that they have marched, cried at the television pictures and feel helpless in the face of the suffering.
That’s why I have launched a major initiative in response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. I will be leading an aid convoy from London to Gaza leaving on 14 February and travelling through France, Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and through Rafah and into Gaza. It will bring material aid and raise the banner of Palestine in all the countries that we visit.
The convoy will be led by a British fire engine, ambulances, and many trucks full of practical aid given by the various communities in Britain.

Cant Thank Dundee Enough!!!!
Firefighters in Dundee have donated some of their used and unneeded protective gear to help the emergency services in Gaza. The fireproof overclothes will form part of a convoy of practical aid bound for the Middle East next week. Pictured at Blackness Road fire station.
