Gorbals Pantry Support by Stirling Aid

With the Increase in food prices , fuel prices many of the charity sector volunteers themselves are having to fork out of their own pockets to cover the cost of the charity activities.
As a result we have tied in with other Charities to increase effectiveness.

Gorbals Community Hub , South Portland Street had no fresh Food, we were able to Help with Fareshare to Deliver this. Part of the Destiny Group they have opened a successful  Pantry to cater for peoples needs.
Stirling Aid is arranging pickups from Bellshill and St Rollox to allow them to retain fresh food for service users.

We also have had increase in food requests to support people directly. Last week we had a harrowing story of young lady with her toddler who only had £8 for weeks supply all because she was on Asylum.
Those in authority really need to get a grip.
